Meet the Expert 2010
What: "Meet the Expert" is intended to promote research facilitation and interaction between early and advanced career scientists. This initiative provides all researchers at the EHPS Conference especially young researchers with the opportunity to consult with leading scientists in their field of their interest in a very friendly and relaxed environment.
Who: Four experts are Profs., Michelle Fine (US), Michael Murray (UK), Suzanne Segerstrom (US), and Bas Verplanken (UK).
When: Wednesday 1st September, 2010 (n the morning of the first conference day).

Synergy workshop 2010 - Beyond talk and text: stretching and enriching qualitative research practice.
What: This interactive workshop will promote ways in which researchers can expand the range of methods used for qualitative research. It will also promote the use of innovative methods for designing qualitative research projects, for approaching data collection and analysis, and reporting research findings.

CREATE workshop 2010: Computer tailored interventions
What: The goal of this workshop is to learn and to apply basic principles of computer tailoring. As the theoretical frame work we will use an integration of social cognitive models - such as social learning theory, theory of planned behavior, health belief model -- referred to as the Integrated Model of Behavior Change, or the I-Change Model. We will employ a special software package, the Tailored Health Builder. We will work in small groups of 4-5 people and develop and pilot a brief computer tailoring interventions. Specific objectives of the workshop are: 1. to learn the basic principles of setting up a tailoring interventions; 2. to learn the basic principles of developing tailoring algorithms; 3. to develop a small computer tailoring intervention; 4. to pilot and evaluate the computer tailored intervention.

The EHPS Conference is accredited by The Psychologists’ College of Romania.
Credit points will be awarded to all registered participants attending the conference:
- 10 credit points for presenting a scientific paper or a poster;
- 7 credit points for attending one of the Conference’s workshops;
- 5 credit points for attending the Conference as a registered participant (without a paper or poster).
